Our clinic has extensive experience in the treatment of gum disease (periodontal disease) as well as in the placement of dental implants. Since 1989 we have been dedicated to delivering the highest quality treatment in these two specialied fields. Dr Sidi and our dental hygienists collaborate closely to treat patients with a various levels of periodontal disease, from simple to complex cases, Including advanced levels of the disease.

Dr Alan Sidi qualified from Guys Dental Hospital in 1979. After some time in general practice, he returned to Guys Dental Hospital to complete an MSc in Periodontology which he gained with Distinction in 1982. This was followed by a PhD which he completed in 1989.
His time is now devoted mainly to clinical practice, but he also teaches on the post-graduate program at Guys Hospital Dental School, London. He regularly lectures to General Dental Practitioners and occasionally runs courses for other specialists.
He is a registered Specialist in Periodontics, has published papers internationally, lectures in the UK and Europe and has close links with the USA. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, The British Society of Periodontology, The Royal Society of Medicine and The British Dental Association.
Dr Sidi also speaks French and Italian.
Dental Hygienist

Glenda’s career in dentistry began as a trained dental nurse. She worked for the British Army for 7 years. She then went on to train as a Dental Hygienist at Guys Hospital Dental School, where she was awarded the Hu Friedy Student Scaling Prize. She qualified in 1986. Thereafter, she worked for the American Navy for a further 7 years. Seventeen years ago, she joined Dr Sidi’s team. She is passionate about her profession, which is evident in her enthusiastic approach in the care of her patients and also her willingness to keep up to date with the latest information by attending regular meetings and conferences in the UK and Europe.

Originally from Vancouver Island in Canada, Kerrie moved to England and began her studies at Kings College Dental Hospital. She graduated in 1996 as a dental hygienist after first studying as a dental nurse. In 2003, she joined the team at Portland Place. As one of our hygienists, Kerrie’s main priority is that the patient’s ongoing oral health is well maintained. She keeps up to date with the latest information by attending regular meetings and courses.

Jane began her dental career in Kent where she worked for three years as a dental nurse before applying to study Dental Hygiene at The Royal Dental Hospital from which she graduated in 1982. Since graduating she has worked mostly in private practices, in the West End of London. She has been working in a private practice on Wimpole Street since 1991, and joined Dr Sidi’s practice on January 2008, where she works two days a week. Jane finds working in a periodontal practice very rewarding; most patients are referred with varying stages of periodontal disease. She enjoys building a rapport with her patients which extends to the maintenance program to ensure long term success of dental implants and teeth.
Practice Manager
Martin is the latest member of our team and works alongside Margaret Murray in the Practice Manager role. He has held various roles in admin and managerial positions within an HR environment. He also spent a number of years living in a Buddhist temple teaching meditation; a useful skill in our busy practice! His aim is to ensure that patients and staff receive the support they need within the practice.
Tretament coordinator
Rashida has had over 10 years of experience in the dental world and has gained a great deal of knowledge and competence in all aspects of dentistry. Since joining our practice over 4 years ago she has enjoyed her role as a Patient Coordinator supporting patients through their dental journey and assisting staff members to ensure a smooth running of the practice.
