Trauma from brushing

Brushing too hard leads to gingival recession, however this can be treated with grafting.

Trauma from brushing

Recession can be treated by grafting. Gum tissue is taken from below the surface of the palate and grafted over the area where recession has occurred. Sometimes it is not possible to cover all the area of exposed root but the aim is to cover the most of it and increase the thickness of the gum to prevent further recession.
